Our goal at Highly Relevant is to become the best conversion search engine optimization, social media marketing, and reputation management firm in Los Angeles. That to us means consistently achieving the highest possible return for our clients on their investment with us.
To ensure that we deliver increased revenues and profits to our clients, we focus on working with our clients to develop tangible, trackable goals and set up a framework that pays us the majority of our fees only if we deliver results. An important aspect of this is our focus on conversion optimization to make sure that we’re not just delivering traffic to our client’s websites, but also delivering quality visitors who are likely to become customers. This involves constant monitoring, reevaluation, and tweaking of our efforts to ensure that our execution is as efficient as possible.
To give you a better feel for our approach, below is a brief outline of how we went about developing and optimizing our own website.
In building our business, one of our target client bases was people searching for SEO firms in Los Angeles. To best reach this audience, our first step was using a combination of on-site and off-site optimization tactics to achieve high rankings for targeted keywords that we felt would deliver visitors interested in our services.
On-Page Optimization
Title Tag – Included Los Angeles SEO in title tag. Including targeted keyword here is essential for achieving strong rankings.
Internal Linking – Created a menu link to the Los Angeles SEO page, leveraging the broader site’s relevancy and page values to boost ranking.
Content – You’re reading it. An ideal article should have at least 350 words, including words and ideas that search engines deem relevant to the target keywords.
URL Structure – Included Los Angeles SEO in URL structure and ensured that URL is static.
Off-Page Optimization
One Way Relevant Links – Developed one way links from sites that are relevant to Los Angeles SEO, using target keyword in the anchor text.
Article Syndication – Syndicated articles related to Los Angeles SEO to relevant blogs and article directories. This creates ‘contextual links,’ which search engines value highly.
Blog Commenting – Sought out industry leading blogs and engaged with them through intelligent commenting.
For companies looking to target customers locally in Los Angeles or other specific locales, achieving a top listing in Google’s local business results should be a key aspect of their Search Engine Optimization strategy. This is becoming increasingly important as Google has begun showing local results even for generic search terms. Search for ‘restaurant’ in Google, and you’ll see the local ten-pack displayed below the top three generic results.
The screenshot below shows the visible portion of Google’s results for ‘car service los angeles’. With ten local listings and only one general result visible, you can see the importance of ranking for local results. Additionally, these results prominently display phone numbers and enable customer reviews, increasing the ease with which potential clients can contact you and learn about your company.

Achieving a top listing in local results requires a slightly unique set of SEO tactics including registering your company with local search engines and directories, placing a footer with your address and phone number on all pages, and using specific geographical terms when link-building. We work with all of our SEO and Social Media clients to determine their current and target customer base and ensure that our strategy gives them the broadest exposure to this audience.
Once our organic search engine rankings began delivering visitors to our website, we began tracking which keywords delivered the visitors who were most likely to be interested in our services and which elements of our website most effectively engaged these visitors. With this information, we continually tweak our keyword strategies and website layout to best connect with searchers who are looking for our services and give them the content they’re searching for.
